The Master of Business Administration program at UNVA-Prague prepares managers and leaders of the future to meet the needs of the global business environment. Graduates gain a balanced education emphasizing business fundamentals, tools and models for decision-making, and the necessary knowledge and skills to be effective managers in a marketplace that is increasingly global and technological. Applicants can select from several MBA tracks: Finance, Marketing, General Management or Project Management. |

In order to graduate, students must successfully pass the 14 courses (42 credit hours) that make up the study plan. Students have the option of taking additional classes to reduce the time to completion or less classes to progress more slowly through the program. MBA STUDY PLAN All MBA students are required to take the following 5 Cornerstone courses (plus specific core and concentration courses. Financial Accounting Analysis, Principles of Management, Management Communication, Money, Banking and Financial Markets, Statistics for Managers. MBA – Finance Core Courses: all required Legal Environment for Business, Quantitative Methods for Business, Managerial Economics, Financial Markets and Institutions, Information Systems Technology. Concentration: 4 courses as offered Corporate Financial Management, International Financial Management, Commercial Bank Management, Personal Financial Advising, Electronic Commerce, Financial Derivative Instruments, Investment, Directed Research, Finance Project. MBA – General Management Core Courses: all required Legal Environment for Business, Quantitative Methods for Business, Managerial Economics, International Management, Information Systems Technology. Concentration: 4 courses as offered Human Resource Management, Multinational Management, Strategic Management, Small Business Management, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Electronic Commerce, Directed Research, Management Project. MBA – Marketing Core Courses: all required Financial Statement Analysis for Managers, Legal Environment for Business, Managerial Economics, Information Systems Technology, Advanced Marketing Management. Concentration: 4 courses as offered Electronic Commerce, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Business Ethics and Society, Advertising and Sales Promotion, Internet Marketing, Marketing High Technology, Directed Research, Marketing Project. MBA – Project Management Core Courses: all required Legal Environment for Business, International Management, Managerial Economics. Concentration: 1st 5 required; choice of 6th or 7th Project Management Foundations, Project Planning, Cost, Pricing, Scheduling and Control, Risk Management, Fiscal, Procurement and Contracting Control, Project Management Capstone, Directed Research. |

Admission to the MBA programs requires the following: 1. Completed application form* 2. CV or Resume* 3. Evidence of English language proficiency (This can be shown by passing the UNVA English language test or another approved standardized test, including TOEFL (550 paper, 210 electronic), Cambridge Advanced Certificate, IELTS (6.0). Students whose Bachelor-level education was conducted in English are exempt from this requirement. 4. Diploma and Transcripts from a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (This document does not need to be included with your application if you are still a student. It must be provided before you begin classes.) 5. Personal interview (The interview covers the applicant’s experience, reasons for undertaking MBA studies, and career goals. For those whose distance from Prague makes travel a problem, it is possible to conduct the interview by phone or online. The interview is scheduled after the application is received.) 6. Application fee of 35 USD or 500 CZK (Paid by bank transfer or in cash at the university. Details for payment will be sent by email after the application is received)

| Further information about the study |
Classes are scheduled on weekends in a cohort format which allows students to balance work, social and family life, and study requirements. Classes meet each second weekend for a full day on Saturday and a morning session on Sunday. Subjects are taken one at a time over a period of six-weeks. The schedule for each quadmester can be found online. |
